Comunidad.
Sibú es una comunidad de Software Libre. Nace principalmente como una Fundación sin fines de lucro, de bien social, que tiene como propósito servir con fines didácticos, y de difusión de la filosofía GNU en la zona Atlántica del país(Limón, Costa Rica), especialmente en el cantón de Pococí de la cual procedemos la mayoría de los miembros.
El significado del nombre de esta comunidad, segun la Wikipedia :
Sibö es el dios padre, creador de la tierra y del hombre, según los bribris, habitantes de las tierras de Talamanca, lo que en la actualidad es territorio costarricense. Según la religión bribri, Sibö creó a los hombres valiéndose de la ayuda de los animales que habitaban la Cordillera de Talamanca.
